About
The MIPLRC is part of the University of Maryland School of Law. Second and third year law students provide intellectual property law services to startup companies and small businesses.
The services provided include assistance with patentability searches and preparation of patent applications; trademark clearance searches and filing of trademark applications; assistance with copyright registrations; providing counseling and drafting agreements for protection of confidential information; and preparation of terms of use and privacy policies for Internet websites.
Assistance may also be provided with creation of basic Maryland business entities.
