Greater Baltimore Black Chamber of Commerce

OUR MISSION The GBBCC mission is to provide support and leadership for the growth and development of black owned and operated businesses and to advocate for economic empowerment in the African American Community in the Greater Metropolitan Area.

About

home_left.jpgFounded in Black History Month, on February 1, 2006, the GBBCC is committed to serving a beacon of hope to Black-owned businesses operating in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area. Serving Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County, and Howard County.
Our General Membership Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month at Coppin State University’s Talon Hall at 6:30 pm and are open to the public.
The Board meets exclusively at 5:00 pm for one and a half hours prior to the 6:30 General Meeting.
Our meetings are exciting, educational and informative with a business agenda. Each month the GBBCC features a guest speaker or one of our Resource Partners to provide information about contract opportunities, Technical Assistance, or Business and entrepreneur training.

Our panel discussions have included diverse topics such as The ABCs of Becoming a Certified Business Enterprise, How to Do Business with the City of Baltimore and the State of Maryland; Access to Capital,  and Business Financial Literacy workshops to ensure that Black owned businesses are “Ready for Business and Financing their Business”.

The GBBCC is the perfect place to get support and assistance as a new business owner, and those that seek to expand and enhance their existing business.

This is the place to cultivate new relationships and to stay connected with members specializing in your field of business and beyond. GBBCC is proud of its strong ties to the black owned and minority business communities in Baltimore City and it’s surrounding counties.  We provide partnering, mentoring and business support services for our members.
