Latino Economic Development Center
About
LEDC became incorporated in 1991 as a community-based non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. LEDC’s mission is to drive the economic and social advancement of low- to moderate- income Latinos and other underserved community in the Greater DC and Baltimore metro areas by equipping them with the skills and tools to achieve financial independence and become leaders in their communities.
LEDC achieves its mission through four key service areas that include: small business development, microlending, affordable housing preservation, and homeownership counseling.
As a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), LEDC provides microloans ranging from 5k-50k to start-ups and existing businesses that have difficulty obtaining credit from mainstream financial institutions.
