About Beta City On September 28, 2017, Betamore and Sagamore Ventures present Beta City: an annual event that recognizes and celebrates leaders, makers and innovators in Baltimore. Beta City brings together Baltimore’s greatest minds for a full day of pitches, startup demos and a celebration of our growing community. Beta City is part of Build Baltimore, an initiative bringing together changemakers in our city to promote + create meaningful experiences and interactions.

Established in 2012, Betamore is an award-winning coworking space, incubator and campus for technology and entrepreneurship. Betamore has been home to 120+ companies that have collectively raised more than $57M in venture capital and in 2016 contributed $26.3M to Baltimore City’s economy.

Our mission is to make Baltimore a leading global entrepreneurship destination.

Our vision is to be the trusted organization that aligns businesses, government, not-for-profit entities, and centers of education with entrepreneurs who drive creative commercialization.

Betamore actively supports, launches and grows technology-based startup companies by delivering on three core pillars: incubation, education and community development. Its education offerings have served over 16,000 attendees and 180+ Academy graduates. Through its community development efforts, Betamore continues to support and engage more than 170 companies in the region. Through its Advisory Board, Betamore connects 96 of the region’s highest profile leaders to the Betamore membership to provide businesses with guidance and mentorship.
