2-Day CNC Plasma Cutter Safety and Certification
This safety and certification course gives you a two-day run through of the CNC plasma cutter in the metal shop from file to machine, giving you the confidence to take the safety and certification and launch into CNC metal-working at Open Works. The two sessions cover machine operation and technical troubleshooting when outputting a file.
It's important to have either taken Crash Course: Rhino 3D or have equivalent experience as this course focusses primarily on machine function rather than file design. The program used to execute the files, Torchmate, is only accessible on one computer, this Rhino allows larger accessibility and ease.
Classes occur two weeks in a row on the same day, i.e.: Wednesday July 12 and Wednesday July 19.
Location: Computer Lab and Metal Shop
Cost: $85
Prerequisite: Rhino 3D or experience equivalent.
