Join us to learn about the new employment laws enacted during the 2016 Maryland General Assembly that will impact employers most of which are effective on October 1, 2016. This session will give participants an overview of Maryland’s new pay transparency and amended equal pay law, hiring preferences for Veterans, rights of National Guard members, Maryland’s new state-sponsored retirement saving plan that will impact many Maryland employers. We will also discuss Montgomery County's mandatory sick leave law that takes effect on October 1, 2016. Finally, we will take a look at the 2017 session and what employers might expect during that session.
