BGE Energizing Small Business Grants Program, which is a component of BGE’s pledge to provide $15 million to assist Maryland’s small businesses with COVID-19 relief and recovery in 2021. The DetailsStarting today, September 1, eligible businesses located in BGE’s service area will have three opportunities to apply for grants of $20,000. To be eligible, a business must have between one and 25 employees (solopreneurs are eligible!), less than $7 million in annual revenue, a demonstrated need for support, a strong plan for moving forward, and be in good standing with the state of Maryland.

Applicants must be a for-profit business and an existing BGE electric and/or gas business customer. Additional eligibility criteria include:
