Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Business Center will host its first annual Finance Symposium on Thursday, March 15, 2018, presenting "Smart Financial Practices". The 2018 MBDA Baltimore Business Center Finance Symposium will be held at Drexel University - Washington, Dc Center located at Lafayette Tower, Suite 420 - 801 17th Street, NW Washington, DC 20006.
Under the aegis of MBDA, the Baltimore Business Center is one of over 40 Centers responsible for providing customized business development solutions designed to Grow Minority-Owned Businesses through increased visibility and access to Capital, Contracts, and Markets.
This invitation only event will be attended by traditional and non-traditional financial lending institutions, an export/import bank, wealth advisors, investors, and more. Registration is mandatory. You have the option to attend either the AM or PM Session. During the morning AM Sessions, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM, one-on-one meetings will be scheduled with financial lending firms. Also, throughout the morning, separate break-outs seminars will be ongoing with finance experts sharing essential information on how to mitigate risks, financing expansion in foreign markets, wealth strategies, etc. The afternoon PM Session 1:30 PM - 5:30 PM, will mirror the morning agenda.
The many financial partners and lending institutions who will participate include: BB&T, Citibank, First National Bank, Harbor Bank, Industrial Bank, Liquid Capital, US Small Business Administration, Wells Fargo. Each entity will have representatives on-site to review and discuss your financial needs with the ultimate goal to provide financial assistance and access to capital.
Direct benefits of this Symposium will allow business owners to: learn about new offerings, new tax laws and implications and smart investments; determine if new or increased loans and/or lines of credit are available; and compare interest rates on existing loans or new finance investor options. Seats are limited. Please be advised, ALL participants must be an MBDA member of the Baltimore Business Center to attend. There is no cost to become a member; only two very simple documents need to be completed which may be submitted prior to the event or at registration. Free continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.
