Women Business Owners' Expo 2016

Since 2010, the MD Transportation Authority (MDTA) has been conducting its’ very own outreach program entitled “Getting Your Foot in the Door”. Each year, MDTA strives to increase awareness of the procurement opportunities available to small, minority, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses in the State of Maryland through the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), Small Business Reserve (SBR) and Veteran Small Business (VSB) Programs. In 2016, we will continue our efforts with that goal to reach as many small businesses as we can to include Prime Contractors.

The Hogan Administration’s focus is Maryland is Open for Business, so we thought it best to go “Back to the Basics”  with Part 1 of 3.  The first date will cover the essentials of government contracting.  This business forum will provide you with the intelligence for winning government business in addition to covering the following:
•Challenges and benefits of doing business with state government
•Five essentials to success when working with state government
•Best practices when working with government agencies
